The Ladies of the Lakes Quilt Guild
The mission of The Ladies of the Lakes Quilt Guild is to promote the art of quilting; to provide learning opportunities for its members and members of the community, and to support the community through the donation of quilts and monetary contributions to charitable organizations.
~ Hospice Quilts - Over 150 charity quilts are made annually by members and donated to the area hospices. These quilts are provided for those entering hospice and are kept by the family for comfort and memory. This is our major effort and often the work of our open sew days.
~ Library Donations - The Guild donates one book to two area public libraries each year.
~ Scholarships - A scholarship is presented each year there is a qualified graduating senior from the Lakeland area with an interest in textiles, art, or art education.
LOTL meets on the first Tuesday of each month at Hiawatha Club House (115 Hiawatha Trail, Woodruff, WI) at 4 P.M. This meeting includes the monthly business meeting, a short educational program and Show and Tell. Show and Tell is where we get to see the wonderful projects members and guests have done. We encourage you to visit.
On the third Tuesday of each month, we have an open sew from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. at the Hiawatha Club House. Bring your own project or join in a group sew.
We invite all sewers of every skill level to consider joining our guild. For new quilters, we have A Learn to Quilt Program and experienced quilters who are eager to share their skills. See the side tab for the membership form.
